Who this policy covers

This policy is about Jai Sanatan, an Android app built by Everyday Co, a sole proprietorship based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Jai Sanatan is still in development and has not been released. We are publishing this policy now so you can see, in advance, what the app will collect once it is live.

Your face photo stays on your phone

If you add your photo to a poster, the app processes it on your phone only. Your face photo is never uploaded to our servers and never leaves your device. It is stored in an encrypted, app-private folder that your phone's backup system does not copy anywhere. If you delete the app or clear its data, the photo is gone.

Your name, language, and state

When you set up the app, you can give it your name and your preferred language (Hindi or English). This is optional, and you can skip giving your name. We store your name and language on our servers using Google Firebase.

You can also choose your state in the app's Settings, so we can show you more relevant deities and posters. This is optional. No state is chosen by default; until you set one, the app shows you all-India content. Your state choice is stored on your device, not on our servers. The app does not ask for permission to access your device's location, and it does not access your device's location.

Separately, our analytics tool, Google Analytics for Firebase, works out an approximate location from your device's masked IP address. This is coarse. It is usually no more precise than your region. We use it only to understand how the app is used. It is not used to choose what content you see. To be clear: the state you choose is what personalises your posters and deities. The approximate location from analytics is for our own understanding only, and plays no part in personalising the app.

Phone number verification

We do not ask for a phone number when you first open the app. Only when you choose to subscribe do we verify your phone number, using either the Truecaller app on your phone or an SMS code.

We never collect your email address. When you subscribe, we store your phone number and a Firebase Authentication user ID. If Truecaller or the SMS provider also returns your name or email address to us, we discard it as soon as we receive it; we never store it. The subscription record we keep in our Firestore database holds only your user ID and your subscription status.

Subscriptions and payments

All Jai Sanatan subscriptions are billed through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details; Google handles the payment and is the merchant of record.

After you subscribe, Google gives us a purchase token. We use this to confirm your subscription with Google's Play Developer API. Purchase and billing records are held by Google Play, not by us; we only keep whether your subscription is currently active. We do not receive your raw UPI transaction ID.

What Firebase receives

We use Google Firebase to run Jai Sanatan. This includes Cloud Firestore, our database, and Firebase App Check. App Check checks that requests come from a genuine installation of the app. It is not used to identify or track you.

Firestore stores:

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Jai Sanatan is used. It collects:

This data is used only for analytics, to help us understand and improve the app. We keep it for 14 months.

The app does not collect your Android Advertising ID. We show no advertisements in Jai Sanatan, and we do not use any of this data for advertising.

What the Cloudflare R2 content delivery network receives

The poster images themselves, the pictures of deities you browse and personalise, are stored and delivered to the app through Cloudflare R2. This is a one-way delivery: the app downloads poster images from R2. R2 does not receive your name, photo, or any other personal information.

Our image delivery provider, Cloudflare, processes your device's IP address as a normal part of delivering an image over the internet. We do not enable or retain access logs, and we do not use IP addresses to identify you.

How long we keep your data

We keep your phone number and subscription status for as long as your account exists, and delete them within 30 days of a verified deletion request.

Purchase and billing records are held by Google Play, not by us; we only keep whether a subscription is currently active.

We retain analytics data for 14 months.

Children's data

Jai Sanatan is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn that we have.

Your choices

You can skip giving your name at setup. You can use the app without subscribing, within the free trial limits. You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you by writing to us at the email address below. To delete your account, see How to delete your account below.

Deleting your account

Delete your account from inside the app, or if you no longer have the app installed, email support@everydayco.app quoting your registered phone number.

You can start deleting your account from inside the app, where you are already signed in.

If you have uninstalled the app, email support@everydayco.app and quote your registered phone number. We will send a verification code to that number, and we delete nothing until you confirm that code. This protects your account from a deletion request made by someone else.

Deleting your account removes your phone number, your user ID, your subscription status, and any other account data we hold. We complete deletion within 30 days of verification.

Deletion is permanent. It is not a deactivation, and it cannot be undone.

Purchase and billing records held by Google Play are governed by Google's own policies and are outside our control.
